Renee Martin, Ph.D., serves as Program Manager for the Teacher Training Initiative at Georgia Life Sciences, where she leads programs that connect educators with the training, resources, and industry knowledge needed to prepare students for careers in biotechnology and the life sciences. In this role, she works with educators, industry partners, and community stakeholders to expand access to high-quality professional learning and strengthen Georgia’s future life sciences workforce.

Renee brings more than a decade of experience in agricultural education, teacher development, program management, and student support. Before joining Georgia Life Sciences, she spent 10 years as a school-based agricultural education teacher and for the last 7 she has worked at Okefenokee RESA where she supported educators and school communities through professional learning, school climate initiatives, and mental health training. Her work has focused on helping educators build practical skills, access meaningful resources, and create learning environments where students can succeed.



Renee’s career has been shaped by her commitment to connecting education, workforce development, and student well-being. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication from the University of Georgia, where her research examined how agricultural education professionals understand and respond to student mental health and behavior management needs.
