Bill Zawrotny primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, complex cross-border transactions, and investment transactions. He has advised on M&A transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $82 billion. His practice includes an extensive range of corporate governance work for both public and private companies, including shareholder activism and takeover preparedness. He also has substantial experience counseling and assisting privately owned companies in navigating through complex ownership and corporate governance issues, including during times of transition.


Bill has provided comprehensive legal advice to dozens of technology and life sciences start-ups, emerging growth companies, and a range of investors, including venture capital and private equity funds as well as public and private corporations in connection with corporate venture capital (CVC) transactions.



Bill's recent client representations include Flowers Foods, Georgia Research Alliance Venture Fund, Helios Technologies, Milliken & Company, Roper Technologies, and Southern Company. He also serves as primary corporate counsel to a number of early and growth stage companies, including Axion BioSystems, Focused Cryo, and restor3d.


Bill currently serves on the board of directors of the largest community development financial institution (CDFI) in the State of Georgia, Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE), as a member of the advisory board for the Department of Management of the Kansas State University College of Business Administration, and as a member of the National Advisory Board for the Business Ethics Education Initiative.

He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
