Bill Zawrotny

Bill is a partner at the global law firm of Jones Day. His practice primarily focuses on mergers and acquisitions, complex cross-border transactions, and investment transactions. He has advised on M&A transactions with an aggregate value of approximately $82 billion. His practice includes an extensive range of corporate governance work for both public and private companies, including shareholder activism and takeover preparedness. Bill has also provided comprehensive legal advice to dozens of technology and life sciences start-ups, emerging growth companies, and a range of investors, including venture capital and private equity funds as well as public and private corporations in connection with corporate venture capital (CVC) transactions and serves as primary corporate counsel to a number of early and growth stage companies.
Bill also serves on the board of directors of the largest community development financial institution (CDFI) in the State of Georgia, Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs (ACE), as a member of the advisory board for the Department of Management of the Kansas State University College of Business Administration, and as a member of the National Advisory Board for the Business Ethics Education Initiative.
